A History of St Paul’s Cathedral
There Have been 4 churches on the current site that St Paul’s stands on. The original being built back in 604AD
The one that stands there now and most famous is the Cathedral that Sir Christopher Wren designed back in 1675 and took nearly 30 years to complete the build to replace its equivalent that was destroyed in the great fire of London that started in Pudding Lane.
It is truly an impressive sight and one of my favourite parts of the London skyline and a testimony to the five monarchs that over saw its building.
Since its opening services in 1697 it has paid host to some historic events. Notably The funerals of Lord Nelson the Duke of Wellington and Winston Churchill. and the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Di.
At the All Night Shoot on Saturday I spent the majority of my time photographing this impressive building from various different angles. Here are just a couple from this shoot.
